My name is Kate and I have one of the most satisfying jobs in the world, photographing people during the big and the little moments of their life.
My partner in crime is my husband Stephen. If I am photographing your wedding, you can thank Stephen for second shooting and assisting me to capture even more of your special day. When your precious images have been securely backed up at Adaire Headquarters…..you can also thank him for that.
My little partners in crime are my young children, Isaac and Adele. If you ring me, they will come and bug me to try and speak to you on the phone. I apologise in advance for that.
If you want to find us, we are in Berwick, in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
We recently changed our business name from Kate Mudie Photography to Adaire Photography.
So what does Adaire actually mean?
Do you have a fond memory of the way your young child uniquely pronounced a name? Well Adaire is exactly that.
When I brought my precious newborn daughter Adele home, her then two year old brother called her Adaire for many months. When he finally mastered the pronunciation of her name I was actually a little saddened, as I loved it.
For me, Adaire represents new beginnings and special relationships. It is a quiet reminder of how quickly our children grow up and to ensure I remember those little details of their childhood.
On a side note, my daughter is now often heard playing hide and seek with her brother Isaac. “Igaa! Igaa! where are you?”
